Having invited the Secretary of State to Horwich to secure £12m for the Loco Works spine road, it is good to see even more progress being made.

When Bolton Council approved the development of Bluebell Walk in Westhoughton, it was on the condition that a road between Platt Lane and Chequerbent roundabout would be built and opened before residents moved into their new houses.

Bolton Wanderers are a fantastic club, with a proud history and are at the beating heart of the community. In 2019 the club found itself in major difficulties and was threatened with liquidation.

When it was announced that the Smithills Estate will be part of a £25m Government-funded program for natural flood management, constituents got in touch with me to ask what a ‘leaky dam’ is.

The Older Persons Fair I held at Brookfield Hall in Westhoughton was an amazing success though it is always rather difficult for me to judge.

Whilst I am delighted to have secured funding for the new lift at Daisy Hill Railway Station, I am surprised, as are many local residents, at the impact this will have whilst the work is ongoing.

Across Bolton West and Atherton, I know that some motorists and pedestrians are concerned with the brightness of headlights of new vehicles.

Across the constituency, residents have raised concerns with me about broadband providers putting up masts and monopoles, which I know are a real eyesore and can, in some places, be a hazard.
