Speeding, especially around schools, is a significant hazard and I’ve been trying to persuade Bolton Council to put up a speed camera on Smithills Dean Road, where it goes from a 50mph to a 30mph zone.
The Council won’t help so I’m taking this up with the Mayor of Greater Manchester.
Bolton is undergoing redevelopment and we are now seeing more people move into the town centre.
Progress is being made and a key next stage is to get Bolton better connected with the rest of the country. That is why I am championing having a direct train running from London to Bolton.
