Constituents may have noticed that I have put up a few articles about responsible dog ownership in the countryside.
I am pleased to be able to support a Bill through Parliament that will make the law on this more robust.
The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Amendment Bill includes provision to reduce livestock worrying by dogs, including the seizure and detention of dogs, powers of entry and the collection of samples and impressions.
Planting the Northern Forest encourages the next generation to enjoy the countryside but to do so in a responsible way around farms and wildlife.
