Labour bosses in Bolton want to spend £6.5 million renovating the Albert Halls but this includes a posh restaurant and a new café. It’s obvious who’s going to get the most out of this and if it loses money the tax payers of Bolton will have to fork out money to subsidise fat cat dinners.
Labour leader of Bolton council, Cllr Cliff Morris, even said that this money comes out of the same pot as for roads and schools. Given the choice, I would prioritise the schools and roads rather than create more competition for restaurants in the town centre.
Again, Labour show that they have the wrong priorities for the people of Bolton West.
