One of the greatest areas for discussion in the media, in the run up to the General Election, is on the possibility of a coalition and which Parties would coalesce together.
The Conservatives need an additional 23 seats and we are only 92 votes behind Labour in Bolton West so this is one of those seats that will really determine the outcome of the election and whether or not David Cameron or Ed Milliband is Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Labour, on the other hand, need to win 69 more seats plus all those that they are going to lose in Scotland to Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond. I doubt if even the Labour Party hierarchy believes that they can form a majority government so they will be dependent on the SNP.
Nicola Sturgeon will make her demands which will mean more money for Scotland at the expense of the English. Alex Salmond has even said that he’ll write Labours budget for them.
Nicola Sturgeon said: “I think the most likely outcome but also the one in which Scotland can have greatest influence is where we are supporting a minority Labour government on an issue by issue basis…that gives opposition parties enormous clout”
