There are many new developments across the constituency, including the massive Horwich Loco Works redevelopment. I'm campaigning to ensure that we have the right transport links, health, education and leisure facilities - so our local communities have the services they need.
We, in the towns around Bolton, are not having large numbers of children so we need to consider whether any new developments are required for us or for an expension of Bolton or Manchester. There are already substantial traffic problems and concerns that health, education and leisure facilities will not keep pace with the increase in population.
